Goodbye BETA and hello subscriptions!

Fleep pulls off the BETA sticker and introduces paid subscriptionsSince the launch of Fleep in August 2013 we’ve been working relentlessly to make Fleep better and better for our growing number of users. And although we’ve stumbled a little and taken our fair share of time and feedback like every startup does you’ve still stuck with us! We’re very grateful for that! Today we’re happy to finally pull off the BETA sticker, introduce the first Fleep subscriptions and reveal our API and first integrations.

We’ve designed Fleep subscriptions to serve two user groups:

  • Premium subscription (€3 per user per month) is meant for everyday users and teams that value higher file storage (up to 50GB) and administrative features.
  • Free subscription serves users who prefer to use Fleep for free.

All current and new users will automatically get a 30-day trial of Fleep Premium. After the trial ends you can upgrade to Premium or stay on as Free users.

I think it’s also a great time to take a trip down the memory lane and remind ourselves, what has happened in the last 6 months since our last launch in March:

In March we first introduced our new Presence features: Seen By Indicators and Writing Indicators. It became possible to turn presence on and off dependent of your own choice. Shortly after we wrote a beginners guide to new Fleep users called 13 tips to get started with Fleep.

Spring is the time to tidy up conversation lists, no more messy conversation histories and lists, the delete conversations feature was added. Then we shared a few tips on how to replace emails with Fleep and what kind of
webhooks and chat commands we have available.

In May we concentrated on core features, such as Tips and tricks on how to use Pinboards and an improved search experience across Fleep. We also kickstarted the Launch of Fleep User Stories series and shared our team Spring Retreat event video.

While others were enjoying the sun, we introduced a new look and feel for Fleep in compact mode and enabled avatars and inline images.

August started off with the Android tablet version being released and with left pane changes.

And here we are now, introducing subscriptions and pulling off the BETA sticker! Whew! We’ve done a lot, don’t you think?

The good news is that to start enjoying the new subscriptions you needn’t do anything. We’ve already taken the liberty to activate your subscription! So try it out, and experience what it means to be a Premium Fleep user. Don’t hesitate to ping us via Fleep Support or via our social channels (Twitter, Facebook) if you need any help. We’re so happy to have you with us! Thank you!
