IFTTT is a handy app for connecting different tools you use. With the new IFTTT integration in Fleep, you can set up simple Recipes that will post a message to a Fleep conversation.
Pronounced like gift without the g – ‘ift’, IFTTT stands for ”IF This, Then That”, which is literally what it does. IFTTT is especially powerful for sending you reminders, notifications and updates triggered from different services and apps.
Here are some useful ways in which you can use IFTTT with Fleep:
- Post tomorrow’s weather forecast to a Fleep conversation
- Send a customized daily / weekly /monthly / annual reminder to a Fleep conversation
- Post a Trello board’s newest cards to Fleep
- Send notes from Evernote to Fleep
- Send new tweets by a specific Twitter user to Fleep
The best part? The setup is super easy.
Getting started with the IFTTT+Fleep integration
1. Sign in to IFTTT
2. Activate the Fleep channel on IFTTT
3. Start using existing Fleep Recipes or create your own mashups!
If you want to tweak existing Recipes, you usually need to select a channel to send info and changing any of the options given under Advanced settings link.
If you wish to create your own Recipe in IFTTT, go for it! Many tools and services on IFTTT can send content into a specific Fleep conversation. You can customize which conversation IFTTT sends the message to (the conversation you grab the URL from) and the message (content and Fleep-compatible text formatting).
